Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to an area of mathematics focusing on discrete rather than continuous mathematical structures. Topics explored in this course include number theory, functions and sequences, graph theory, combinatorics, and set theory. Basic definitions and concepts of the field as well as some major results in the area will be discussed. This course prepares students for further study in mathematics, business, or computer -related fields.
