This is the first part of a two -part integrated methods and content course for elementary teachers. This part focuses on the “why” along with the “how” of such topics as problem solving, deductive and inductive reasoning, beginning number concepts, operati ons with whole numbers, elementary number theory and other appropriate topics such as learning theory and assessment.
