The content of this course includes recommendations of state and national groups, which have approved standards for teaching social studies. Students explore issues, trends and methods in social studies instruction for secondary school students. Students plan lessons and themes and engage in the kinds of projects, e.g., writing, research, and audio -visual, which they will present in their own classrooms in secondary schools.
