Catalog description
This course applies relationship of theory and practice in early childhood education programs, explores issues of family structures, systems and dynamics within the context of culture and examines firsthand a variety of state and federal programs available for young children. The course includes a practicum component in an approved childcare setting. Students will examine current issues in child advocacy at the state /federal level, and develop a plan to support chosen legislation designed to help young chil dren through an action plan.
