Capstone Proposal Development I

Catalog description
This is the second course in a three-course sequence ( OTD 790 , OTD 791, and OTD 796 ). In this course, students build on their work in OTD 790 Introduction to Capstone Project to begin developing plans for the doctoral capstone, which provides students with an in-depth learning experience focusing on one or more of the following areas of Occupational Therapy practice; clinical practice skills, research skills, administration, leadership, program development and evaluation, policy development, advocacy or education. This course begins with an evaluative summary of the literature, in the form of a literature review, and the intended methods of conducting their doctoral capstone experience. Students develop a beginning description of the proposed capstone project and an implementation plan. They collaborate with their capstone faculty mentor and incorporate feedback into their developing Captsone Proposal.
