A survey of the music of global cultures including: Africa, Australia and New Zealand, Asia, and Latin America. Focuses on key styles, musicians, and recordings, emphasizing aural discernment and critical listening skills. The goal of the course is to broaden student awareness and appreciation of the world’s music both historically and stylistically.
