Catalog description

Explorations of basic elements of algebraic skills and algebraic thinking via problem solving, the visual representation and use of algebraic methods. Topics include integer arrays, algebraic patterns, linear equations, quadratic equations, and graphing. Also included are explorations of student’s understanding of mathematics related to the teaching of algebra and algebraic thinking as outlined in the State Standards for grades K-8. Does not apply toward a math major/minor.
