Catalog description

This course will provide instruction on effective approaches for providing care to persons living with Alzheimer’s disease, other types of dementia and related disorders in residential and care settings. It explores the major types of dementia and symptoms along with ways to support individuals living with dementia in a person-centered, affirming way. It also covers the neuroscience of dementia, risk factors for developing dementia, dementia therapies, and strategies to reduce the risk of developing dementia.
