A systematic study of invertebrates, with a comparative approach to exploring the diversity of anatomy, physiology, behavior, and life history strategies of animals. Emphasizes the relatedness of structure and function, as well as the evolutionary relationships between major taxa. Observation of living invertebrates collected from various habitats is emphasized in the lab. Three one-hour lectures and one four-hour laboratory period.
