Catalog description

Provides an introduction to the biology of microorganisms with an emphasis on infectious human diseases, immunology, and the control of disease through antimicrobial strategies and vaccination. Designed for pre-nursing and pre-dental hygiene students. Laboratory emphasizes skills with microscopes, identification testing, and aseptic technique. Three hours of lecture and one two-hour lab per week. Does not apply toward a biology major/minor.
