Catalog description

Adult Health II prepares students to provide safe, equitable, high quality medical surgical nursing care for diverse adult populations across the lifespan in various health care settings. This includes health promotion and management of both acute and chronic conditions. This course explores how social determinants of health impact health risk and outcome. This course will focus on medical surgical nursing care related to perioperative nursing, neurological, hematological, renal, cardiovascular, endocrine, and musculoskeletal systems. The nursing process and clinical judgement model will be used for clinical decision-making and fostering health promotion and maintenance. A variety of populations and settings are used in the experiential learning components of this course. Co-requisite: D447
