This course will provide an overview of the field of language teaching by examining past and present teaching approaches and related research. There will be a balance between theory and practice that is, between providing necessary background information and relevant research, on the one hand, and offering a host of techniques and strategies that support the best principles for language learning with an emphasis on writing effective lesson plans which include supportive assessment.
