Catalog description
Students will learn the fundamentals of algorithmic trading and how AI is reshaping execution and strategy design in financial markets. Topics include strategy coding logic, backtesting, performance evaluation, and automated deployment. The course also introduces students to basic machine learning concepts applicable to trading. By the end, students will be able to build and test algorithmic strategies using a disciplined, data-driven approach. Students will also be introduced to some of the critical thinking skills they need to ask the right questions when developing and using AI systems in trading.
