Catalog description

Reliability engineering is the effort and process of applying systematic engineering principles and techniques throughout a product life cycle resulting in effective Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). The goal of reliability engineering is to evaluate the inherent reliability of a product or process and identify potential areas for reliability improvement. In this course, students learn fundamental concepts of reliability engineering, utilize tools and modeling methods to calculate failure rates, determine warranty impacts, and develop and present plans to improve product reliability and reduce failures.
