Catalog description

This course is a perfect amalgam of IT Project and Portfolio Management that provides students with the advanced competencies, tools, and techniques for managing and coordinating projects and portfolios in the IT sphere. IT Project Management (PM) is partially based on the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), and Portfolio Management is introduced and examined as a methodology to close the gap between strategic initiatives and implementation. Students will be prepared to apply appropriate theories, principles and practices, skills, and techniques to facilitate the planning, organization, management, and control of IT projects and portfolios.
