Catalog description

This is an introductory course on the principles of computer security with a focus on Authorization and Access Control Management. This course supports the requirements of the Confidentiality Integrity Availability (CIA) triad. Additional topics include computer and system security, authentication, malicious software, and software security. The course also examines how system designs, network protocols, and software engineering practices can result in vulnerabilities and presents students with best practices in access control management.
