Catalog description

This course begins with a critical examination of the personal characteristics of organizational members and how it influences the effectiveness of organizations and their members. Special attention is given to the role of teams in organizations, stages of team development, and actions that can support the development of effective teams. The realities of interpersonal processes are considered through analysis of the roles of power, politics, and conflict in organizations. Leadership behavior is also critiqued in terms of leaders as facilitators of organizational and member effectiveness.
