Catalog description

This course provides students with a foundation in health informatics. Topics covered include enhancing the practice of healthcare through the application of information technology and computer science and conducting research for the purpose of increasing patient health and making clinicians and health organizations more efficient. Students conduct an investigation of the principles of informatics, communication, information retrieval and dissemination, and bioinformatics.
