Catalog description

This course will introduce the students to basic concepts and terminologies used in financial and derivative markets. It is designed to aid students in developing an understanding of the major functions, principles, and techniques of derivative markets and their respective instruments. Students will be introduced to the structure, pricing and valuation of options, forward, futures and swap. The course will also deal with the analyses of different risks and use of derivatives to hedge and mitigate these risks.
