This course introduces the study of financial institutions and markets. This course provides the concepts of the structure, importance, and functioning of financial institutions and markets. The course also examines the role and interactions of bank and non-bank financial institutions in the modern dynamic financial system. The course will introduce the student to such key concepts such as interest rates in the economy, money market, bond market, stock market, various financial institutions and risk faced by those institutions, etc.
