Catalog description
This course explores the design and implementation of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) instruction in K-12 education, emphasizing backward design, inquiry-based learning, and hands-on engagement. Students will examine strategies for aligning lessons with STEM standards, integrating technology and AI, and fostering critical thinking and problem-solving. The course highlights research-based instructional methods that support differentiation, inclusivity, and student engagement. Through exploration of assessment design, interdisciplinary connections, and classroom implementation challenges, students will develop the skills needed to create engaging, innovative, and developmentally appropriate STEM learning experiences.
