This course transitions from general research theory to the specialized application of data science methodologies within distinct industry verticals. Students explore how domain-specific constraints—such as regulatory requirements, data sparsity, and high-velocity environments—shape the selection and implementation of analytical models. The curriculum focuses on the "last mile" of data science: translating technical research into actionable interventions and strategic value across various sectors, including healthcare, finance, social media, and cybersecurity.
