Catalog description

This advanced course delves into the principles and practices of securing software and systems within complex digital environments. Students will gain expertise in collecting, querying, and analyzing security monitoring data, including query logs and SIEM outputs. The course emphasizes the application of digital forensics and advanced indicator analysis techniques to identify and mitigate various indicators of compromise (IoCs), encompassing network, host, and application-related threats, as well as lateral movement and pivot strategies. Through real-world scenarios and case studies, students will master the incident response process, enabling them to design and implement comprehensive security strategies that safeguard organizational systems against evolving cyber threats.
