Catalog description
The Graduate Academic Communication course equips students with the skills and tools necessary to succeed in the graduate level academic classroom. Students have the opportunity to develop and strengthen good study habits, learning strategies, and the underpinning learning theories that drive these habits and strategies through various instructional methods. Students engage with topics that practice critical reading skills and study techniques needed for efficient and effective mastery of college–level courses. Topics include writing, communication, research, critical reading and comprehension, technology as well as personal management strategies such as time management and learning styles.
