PR: ( ENGL 101 and ENGL 102 ) or ENGL 103 . This course examines writing and communication in scientific contexts for both public and professional audiences. Students study and compose texts that represent, explain, and debate scientific ideas, considering how genre, audience, and purpose shape understanding and participation in scientific discourse. No background in science is required.
