Emphasizes the implementation of quality improvement in pharmacy practice, monitoring outcomes of drug therapy to ensure optimal patient care, and implementation of systems to prevent and minimize patient risk. Application of pharmacoeconomic principles to daily pharmacy practice are discussed.
