PR: ( DRET 120 or MAE 120 ) and MAE 201 and MAE 242 and MAE 243 and MAE 252 and PR or CONC: MAE 380L and MAE 454 . Engineering is about creating and building solutions. Students cultivate engineering thought processes and develop foundational mechanical engineering skills in design and manufacturing. This course will explore: the Engineering Design Process, ideation techniques, various Manufacturing Processes and Industrial Safety, computer-aided-design and computer-aided-manufacturing, prototyping methods and tools, be introduced to computer verification techniques, material selection and important mechanical components.
