PR: (JRL 380 or JRL 380S ) or (JRL 386 or JRL 386S ) with a minimum grade of C-. Students research, report and produce multimedia news stories on issues of public importance. The course emphasizes the principles and practices of public affairs journalism while further developing reporting skills for digital and broadcast platforms. Through a real-world newsroom environment, students learn to create cross-platform content that informs and engages diverse audiences about policy, governance and community issues.
