PR: FNRS 150 or ( FNRS 205 and FNRS 205L ) with a minimum grade of C- and PR or CONC: FNRS 424 . Through hands-on study at multiple field sites, students build practical skills in plant identification using both on-sight recognition and traditional taxonomic keys, complemented by modern digital identification tools. The course emphasizes the identification of non-woody (herbaceous) plants, ferns, and mosses, while students also learn to maintain detailed field notes and prepare herbarium-quality specimens.
