Catalog description

PR: FNRS 150 or ( FNRS 205 and FNRS 205L ) with a minimum grade of C-. Students explore the diversity of West Virginia’s plant life by examining vegetative, flower, and fruit characteristics to identify major taxonomic groups, including flowering plants (angiosperms), conifers, ferns, mosses, and fungi. Emphasis is placed on angiosperm families and their herbaceous representatives occurring within the region’s varied vegetation communities.
