This course explores adhesion principles and adhesive applications with emphasis on renewable, bio-based materials such as wood, lignocellulosic composites, and natural fibers. Topics include adhesion mechanisms, bio-based adhesive chemistry and formulation, testing methods, and sustainable design, highlighting life-cycle impacts, performance tradeoffs, and emerging green adhesive technologies.
