Remote Sensing of the Environment.

Catalog description

PR: Must be sophomore standing or higher. This course introduces remote sensing for natural resource management, with a focus on forestry applications. Students will work with aerial, satellite, and hyperspectral imagery and integrate Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to generate, interpret, and assess land use/cover maps and to analyze terrain, delineate forest types, and identify sample areas for forest management.
