PR: Corequisite of FNRS 223L . This course examines the anatomy (internal composition) and hierarchical structure of wood and other renewable biomaterials, from molecular to macroscopic scales. Students will explore how these characteristics influence physical and mechanical properties and will develop skills in identifying commercially important tree species through analysis of their anatomical and structural wood features.
