Catalog description

PR: ( ECON 201 or ECON 202 ) with a minimum grade of C-. The objective of this course is to develop the mathematical and quantitative tools necessary for studying intermediate microeconomic and macroeconomic theory, as well as upper-level economics electives. Assuming knowledge of the fundamentals of arithmetic and algebra, the course introduces key topics, such as functions, differentiation, optimization, integration, comparative statics analysis, dynamic analysis and matrix algebra.
