Catalog description

PR: Enrollment in sophomore year of dental hygiene. This course introduces dental hygiene students to the pharmacology concepts most relevant to dental practice. Emphasis will be placed on medications commonly used or encountered in dentistry, including their therapeutic uses, mechanisms of action, adverse effects, contraindications, and clinically important drug interactions.
