Catalog description

PR: CMGT 210 . Overview for construction practitioners that begins with basic soil classifications and behavior, through soil mechanics, and ultimately foundations. Topics include soil exploration, compaction and consolidation, stabilization, water flow, subsurface stresses and shear strength of soil, and shallow and deep foundations. Lateral earth pressure and retaining structures. Concrete design, mixing, transportation, placing and finishing will be discussed.
