This subject deals water and air quality, stream pollution; purification of water, treatment and disposal of municipal wastewater; aspects of municipal solid waste and hazardous waste management; and environmental regulations and impact. Included are routine environmental calculations and elements of design of treatment and pollution control systems. Basic lab and field tests and sampling techniques are also covered. Numerous field trips are included.
