PR: BMEG 321 or CHE 321 or CHEM 341 or MAE 320 . This course introduces scientific principles, engineering methods, and emerging innovations used to recover rare earth elements and critical minerals. Students will explore conventional hydrometallurgical processes alongside cutting-edge technologies, and data-driven approaches. Through projects, students will gain practical perspectives on designing environmentally responsible and economically viable resource recovery systems.
