Study of the structure and function of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells with an emphasis on eukaryotes. Areas of focus include biological molecules, membrane structure and function, intracellular sorting, the cytoskeleton, cell adhesion, cell signaling, and bioenergetics. Also includes an introduction to the cells of the immune system, cell death, and cancer.
