PR: BIOL 112 and BIOL 112L and PR or CONC: BIOL 347L . The study of parasites and their effects on their host. Parasites of major medical importance to humans and their companion/agricultural animals; evolutionary relationships between parasites and hosts. Laboratory will include observations of preserved and live (if possible) specimens and discussions of current research on evolution of host/ parasite relationships.
