Students enrolling in the class must also be concurrently enrolled in English C1000 CRN 70254. This ESL-specific ENGL C1000 + ENGL 099X learning community requires students to enroll in both courses and offers a supportive environment where multilingual learners develop academic reading and writing skills, including effective use of language, analytical thinking, the writing process, and the foundations of academic research, while also receiving guidance in navigating college resources and expectations.
