Prerequisite: CHEM 001B. This course focuses on the fundamentals of organic chemistry with emphasis on underlying concepts. Modern laboratory techniques, including instrumental methods of structure determination, are covered. The course is recommended for chemistry majors, chemical engineering majors, most biology majors, and for pharmacy, pre-medical and pre-dental students.
