Study of neurological system pathologies and mechanisms affecting speech with major emphasis on neuroanatomy and pathophysiology; signs and symptoms, and etiology of speech disorders. Topics include associated anatomical and physiological structures, symptoms, etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of acquired motor speech disorders. The lab will integrate the practical application of theoretical knowledge.
