Catalog description

Study of the nature, assessment, and treatment of swallowing/ feeding disorders in infant and children. Emphasis will include anatomy and physiology of normal and abnormal swallow disorders affecting swallow function (orofacial, myology, oral, pharyngeal, laryngeal, esophageal, gastrointestinal, and related functions), assessment as well as treatment. Course content will include the care, management, and training of patients with feeding and swallowing issues. The lab will integrate the practical application of theoretical knowledge.
