Integrative Learning Experience

Catalog description

This lecture course fulfills the required Integrated Learning Experience (ILE) component of any Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH)-accredited MPH program. Students are required to utilize their knowledge gained from previous MPH coursework and a review of evidence-based literature to create a high-quality, written document that addresses a hypothetical, local public health problem with an intervention that requires funding (e.g., a grant proposal). The document provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate mastery and integration of at least three CEPH competencies. Students also create a social media profile that reflects and appropriately frames their professional and personal experience.
