Catalog description

This course will provide the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner student with evidence-based, specialized knowledge for assessing, diagnosing, and managing common acute and chronic conditions. The course advances further understanding of psychiatric and behavioral care for the pediatric, adult, and older adult populations. The course emphasizes a culturally inclusive, patient-centered, and clinically competent approach to promoting, maintaining, and restoring mental health across the lifespan. (Includes 0.25 content hours of psychopharmacology.)
