Catalog description

This clinical course provides the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner student with evidence-based, specialized knowledge needed for assessing, diagnosing, and managing common acute and chronic conditions. The clinical experience focuses on pediatric, adult, and older adult populations in psychiatric and behavioral health settings. The course emphasizes a culturally inclusive, patient-centered, and clinically competent approach to promoting, maintaining, and restoring mental health across the lifespan. (Includes 0.5 content hours of psychopharmacology.)
