Operations and Management in Health Care Organizations

Catalog description

This course focuses on the operation, administration, regulatory agencies, and management of health care organizations. Topics include budget preparation, planning, organizing, recruiting, training, motivating and directing the employees of the organization; including conflict resolution, workplace diversity, patient privacy and confidentiality issues. Special focus is placed on interprofessional education and interdepartmental collaboration aimed at improving patient outcomes and increasing the overall success of the organization.
