This course evaluates current trends and traditional methods of payment and reimbursement in the healthcare industry. The fundamentals and terminology of different payer systems in healthcare are covered. Students will analyze third-party payer requirements, Medicare’s payment systems, healthcare provider organizational structuring, and revenue cycles.
