Catalog description

Develops patient-provider communication and integrates the culture of medicine, caregiving, social determinants of health, culturally sensitive behavior change and support, health promotion, social media impacts on health, and telemedicine. Demonstrating how communication and its delivery impacts patients and their families. Considerations made for disability status, ethnicity/race, religion, sexual orientation. Course delivery methods for teaching and learning include lectures and small groups, virtual case studies, and online patient and provider resources.
